Corporate Finance Manager

We are looking for a Corporate Finance Manager to help build and steer Aqemia’s financial strategy while ensuring strong financial operations. This role is designed as a true hybrid: 50% operational discipline (treasury management, reporting and forecasting, financial processes) and 50% strategic finance (decision support, strategic analyses, executive insights).

You will work directly with Théa, our VP Finance, who brings deep expertise in financial modelling and corporate finance (ex-Morgan Stanley) and collaborate directly with leadership to prepare materials for executive discussions and long-term strategic planning. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in both operational rigour and strategic thinking, eager to contribute to building a deeptech company.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Fully responsible for developing financial projections to support strategic decision-making and deliver accurate performance indicators with the ultimate goal of enhancing Aqemia’s business plan
  • Monitor and identify operational costs for Aqemia’s drug discovery programs to help us opt for the best portfolio strategy
  • Drive cash and treasury management, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and forward visibility on runway and investment capacity
  • Support the build-out of finance processes and tools, contributing to a scalable and robust finance infrastructure
  • Prepare strategic finance materials for executive reviews and board-level discussions
  • Act as a finance business partner to cross-functional teams (R&D, Tech, Portfolio, HR), enabling data-driven decisions across the organisation
  • Develop and track performance indicators and financial KPIs, translating data into actionable strategic insights
  • Participate in ad-hoc strategic projects (tools implementation, productivity analysis, operational modelling)

What We’re Looking For

Requirements:

  • Fluent in English
  • Master’s Degree in the Finance/Management field
  • Proven experience in Banking, Audit, FP&A or Transaction Services (4 years minimum)
  • Very strong skills in accounting and finance (including solid financial modelling skills)
  • Business-oriented profile and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to synthesise data and complex information and present succinctly to executives and stakeholders at all levels
  • Highly organised, autonomous, flexible, and easily adaptable to changing conditions
  • Previous experience in a deep-tech and/or fast-paced start-up is a plus

Mindset & Values:

  • You are eager to play an active role in contributing to Aqemia’s strategy to develop drugs for patients
  • You are motivated to bring your wealth of knowledge and skills to the table
  • You are keen to solve tough problems on issues that truly matter, with a proactive and can-do attitude
  • You are curious and want to learn new things to push yourself outside your comfort zone: learn more about finance, drug discovery and AI
