Job Details.

Allegory Capital, a data-driven venture capital firm focused on regulated industries, is seeking an Associate to join our investment team. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in technology ventures and a background in analyzing regulated markets. The Associate will be critical in sourcing and evaluating investment opportunities, conducting due diligence, and driving growth in our portfolio companies.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deal Sourcing: Identify and source investment opportunities in regulated tech sectors.
  2. Due Diligence: Conduct thorough due diligence, including financial modelling, market analysis, and legal assessments.
  3. Portfolio Management: Assist in managing relationships with portfolio companies, including tracking performance metrics and providing strategic guidance.
  4. Data Analysis: Leverage data analytics tools to assess market trends, investment opportunities, and portfolio performance.
  5. Stakeholder Communications: Regularly update and consult with senior team members and external partners on deal flow and portfolio status.
  6. Industry Research: Keep abreast of trends, legislation, and players in regulated industries.
  7. Deal Execution: Assist in negotiating and closing deals, including preparing investment memos and term sheets.

Experience:

  • 2-5 years of experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, or a related field.
  • Experience or strong interest in regulated industries is a plus.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • An MBA or other advanced degree is a plus but not required.
