Orakl Oncology accelerates the development of cancer treatments by combining cutting-edge biology with AI: patient tumor avatars and predictive engines that anticipate clinical-trial outcomes and validate therapies. As Senior Data Scientist, based on-site in Villejuif, you will own the wet-lab data chain end-to-end, from raw instrument outputs to validated, analysis-ready datasets that scientists and downstream teams rely on. This is a hands-on role with regular engagement with lab scientists and technicians.
Missions
- Own the lab-based data generation pipelines to enable data transfer at scale from the lab to the cloud.
- Define and maintain the canonical data model unifying experimental, clinical, omics and clinical-trial data.
- Build the validated, analysis-ready datasets and tools used by scientists and downstream teams.
- Design and own the data-quality pipeline, with feedback loops to detect errors early.
- Write, review and maintain production-grade code.
- Support lab automation and operational-efficiency initiatives.
Profile
- Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Bioengineering or a related quantitative field.
- 3+ years as a data scientist with proven experience shipping Python code in production.
- Excellent proficiency in Python and SQL, with solid data-engineering skills: pipeline design and orchestration (Airflow, Dagster, dbt or equivalent), Git.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP or Azure).
- Comfortable working with experimental data and with non-technical scientists.
- Nice to have: biology or oncology knowledge, image-analysis expertise, familiarity with LIMS.
