Dust builds a platform that lets companies create and deploy AI agents connected to their internal tools and data. As the first dedicated FP&A and Controlling hire, the Finance Manager owns both the accounting close and forward-looking planning across France and US operations, and uses Dust’s own platform to automate finance workflows. The role is based in Paris, San Francisco or New York, in an office-first culture with flexible work from home.
Missions
- Accounting oversight and controlling: run the monthly close across French and US entities, translate statutory financials into management reporting, and build the accounting infrastructure and analytical mappings.
- Proactively flag revenue recognition risks and control issues.
- FP&A and business partnering: design integrated financial models covering P&L, cash flow, headcount and unit economics.
- Set up annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting frameworks.
- Support strategic analyses, including scenario modelling and board and investor materials.
- AI and automation for finance: identify repetitive workflows (AP/AR, reconciliations, variance analysis) and redesign them on the Dust platform, acting as an internal product advocate and source of feedback.
Profile
- 5-7 years of progressive finance experience, from accounting foundations toward FP&A, covering both close/controlling and planning.
- Exposure to SaaS or AI companies and their metrics (ARR, churn, CAC) preferred.
- Experience scaling operations in an early-stage environment.
- Able to build financial models from scratch; comfortable with SQL or willing to learn; familiar with BI tools such as Metabase or Snowflake.
- Systems thinker with an automation-first mindset and a builder mentality in ambiguous settings.
- Clear communicator of financial narratives, curious about AI without needing a technical background.
