Business Development Representative

About pyannoteAI: pyannoteAI is the applied voice lab behind pyannote, the open-source speaker diarisation models used by more than 375,000 developers. Its platform identifies who spoke and when, recognises named speakers across meetings and files, separates overlapping voices and delivers speaker-attributed transcripts, in real time or in batch. It runs as a cloud API, on-premises or at the edge. As the first Business Development Representative, you own pipeline generation, handling inbound demand from the open-source community and the platform and running outbound on strategic enterprise accounts.

Missions

  • Own all pipeline-generating activity on your account list, from first touch to qualified handoff.
  • Manage and prioritise a high volume of inbound leads from open-source users, platform sign-ups, pricing page visits and contact requests.
  • Run first qualification on high-potential leads: use case, audio volume, deployment model, timeline and decision process.
  • Run outbound on strategic accounts to open enterprise opportunities.
  • Identify needs beyond the models, such as integration, custom deployment or forward-deployed engineering, and route them to the right people.
  • Define with the Account Executive what a qualified opportunity is and improve the handoff.
  • Use CRM and product usage data to show which segments and signals convert.
  • Improve sequences, tooling and processes as you build the function.

Profile

  • Two to three or more years in a fast-growing start-up, in business development, sales, partnerships or lead management.
  • Strong analytical skills, turning CRM and usage data into decisions about which accounts to work.
  • Experience with HubSpot or Salesforce, Lemlist and sales engagement platforms such as Salesloft or Outreach.
  • Excellent written and spoken English, with engineers and senior business stakeholders alike.
  • Comfort working in a small, fast-moving team while the playbook is still being written.
  • Hands-on use of AI and automation tools in daily work.
  • A degree in business, engineering, computer science or a related field.
